I bought Philips Hue lights (3 bulbs, 2 light strips) and I downloaded the most popular iOS applications over the course of one month. Thorlight is not yet one of them :(

I must say that all applications (excluded Thorlight) are falling into two categories:

- they are too simple to be useful, like an amateurish school exercise to make the teacher happy (not the customers), or

- too complex to be used, with so many options that one (and one's family) would need to study an engineering manual and colour theory to be operated. In general, the application is described as "you can configure it to do anything you wish", and here's the problem: I want ready-to-use out-of-the-box features, no need to become an expert in application engineering to be able to turn the light on.

Moreover, the applications I tried lack the vital feature to be able to color-match different lamp models, with the result that you ask Siri to set the lights to Green, and you get many different greenish colours and intensities.

Most applications are not fully compatible with the new Bridge 2.0, with the result that you have to re-define basic stuff like rooms, lights, scenes etc., in each application.

Now, enter Thorlight.

Simplicity AND power in a ready-to-use application with many pre-set configurations. It has a very intuitive user interface, which my small kids (3, 5 years old) learned to use in very short time.

Thorlight even understands what lamp models you have, and sets the colours uniformly according to your desires, so that when you want Green, it's the same green everywhere.

I hope that this application will run to the top of Philips Hue friends. Best wishes to the developer!
